We intended to go to see Dr Perlmutter for my husband but we saw the testimonial of the person on your site and of course are wondering about the serious of this Doctor and his results. In that case, if not glutathione, what kind of product could he have injected the first time? And why not later? A mystery like said the patient. Thanks for your help. Do you have any other testimonials ?

The main purpose of glutathione is to remove toxic metals from the body. Parkinson's is caused by a lack of dopamine - one of the four main neurotransmitters in the brain. In other words, the wrong things is being used.

I have had glutathione injections which have helped very much. This was before I started going to Dr. Permutter. I haven't had glutathione injections with Dr. Permutter but have had several visits with him and I think he does fantastic work.

GTF verified that Phyllis was not treated for Parkinsons Disease and incorrectly thought her experience was related.

How does anyone know if you are not an AMA front attempting to push the standard AMA party line? I've seen patients that died from 'approved' AMA therapies. You include no information about who you are, dates/frequency of treatment, etc. How does anyone know if there aren't other health issues for you other than PD that you are not talking about? You cite no authoritative resources for your glutathione claims regarding ineffectiveness at room temperature. The information you are providing is flimsy at best. The reality is, I have found a number of peer reviewed studies showing that patients utilizing GSH therapies show marked improvements in symptoms. In short, I'll do my own research and draw my own conclusions instead of blindly following the fascist policies of the AMA, the talking head of the American Sickness Industry

Listen you brain dead imbecile. Just because your shipment wasn't shipped right does not mean it does not work. I'll answer your question about why the AMA, a.k.a American Mafia Association doesn't approve it! It's because they are funded by the Satanic cabal, "Big Pharma". They cannot patent this substance. In other words, you moron..they want to keep you sick and diseased with their poison! DO you not get that you fool! Go back to watching your brain-washing television, keep drinking your fluoridated water, keep eating your genetically modified "food" and shut you stinking mouth before I find where you are shut your mouth myself! You got that?

After 12 intervenous injections of Glutathione I'm back to square one. The medication arrived well-packed in dry ice and cool. After approximately six weeks of treatment by my wife, a nurse practioner, of two injections of glutathione per week, I did not achieve significant results to my symptoms of essential tremor, an experiment I attempted upon the urging of my family doctor based on curiosity and hope for success through the Perlmutter clinic in Florida.

my father was rigid from Parkinsonism and was laying in a skilled unit. January 14, 2007 he was given a PEG feeding tube and we were told he would never swallow anything again...not even a sip of water. It was only a matter of time until he passed. Within a week of this diagnosis I heard that that a local doctor was going to offer Glutathione IV's in our area. I had heard of this treatment in Italy years before and that there was someone doing it in Florida (Dr Perlmutter) but never dreamed it would be an option when we needed it most. It was a struggle getting him to and from the treatments 3 times a week, had stressful disscussions with a neaurologist who called it "bunk" and a waste of time and money. After viewing a video on the protocal (that put my years of research in a nutshell) Dad agreeded to try 12 treatments before making a judgement as he was so severe. Dad did have the option to quit at anytime. After 6 treatments his voice was stronger (had been a whisper) this was a blessing as he could now communicate with nursing home team...by treatment 11 he got up and walked on his own for the first time. Every week after that was amazing. Getting out bed on his own, used a walker for only one week then put in the closet, dressing himself and even walked backwards for the first time in years, without fear of falling. By June Dad wanted to start eating. After two throat tests one negative - ordered by nursing home and one positive (by the "bunk" believing neaurolgist - will give him credit for ordering that test after the negative one) His Doctor did give him the option of a trial pureed diet. So after signing off waivers with the nursing home that was not excited to have him try a prureed diet, he passed with flying colors! On October 30, 2007 the PEG feeding tube was removed and on Novermber 1, 11 months after being admitted and deemed hopeless, he walked out and moved into an apartment a couple of blocks away from us. His G-IV's were scaled back from three times a week, to twice a week, to once a week and for the last couple of years he has one every other Wednesday. When we started the journey he was on 13 medications, he is now on 7. It's been an awesome journey so far and I still smile when I think back at how even the staff and the nursing home were amazed with his quick turn around. It was a bit of a Lazarus experience to witness it. Dr Paul Rothwell, a former Chief of Staff at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, still oversees his general care and glutathione IV therapy in his clinic. Oak will be 85 this November. It does cost money but considering the $4500 longterm care costs he was paying each month it was worth the investment and a second chance at life and to move out of longterm care that would have drained his saving within a year. My sister and I have sat in the IV room with Dad over the years...met other patients and yes we have seen it work for others and for some it has not but that number is few. I write this as I know there are Doctor's that may not follow the proper protocal and that is a shame. I know it is not a cure for Parkinsonism but it did change Dad's outcome 4 years ago and his quality of life.

I had a similar experience as one of your other posts and I must say that Glutathione Therapy did not work for me. I also experienced what I thought was a big difference at the doctors office, but after I left and continued the treatment at my home, I was never able to come close to feeling the way I did at the Dr's office. I have Parkinson's myself and am declining. I wish all of you luck and don't ever give up !

As a neurologist specializing in Parkinson's Disease, I will tell you point blank that this so-called doctor is a scam artist. Glutathione is not a valid form of treatment. Trials have been done, and have failed. Glutathione cannot be absorbed by the brain and certainly does not repair any damage in the substantia nigra (where most of the damage is). What does work is L-dopa therapy. Researchers are working very hard to improve treatment and we value very much the comfort of our patients.

Your site makes a great point and I would suggest looking further into this. My father is a neurologist and brought "Dr." Perlmutter up once. I was furious at hearing about his "treatments" which, to any educated neurologist, are complete bs. I wanted to say something but my father warned that more than 10 law suits have been issued by Dr. Perlmutter for people speaking out. His scams have made him wealthy and he has a good lawyer. However, a patient has the experience and you as a witness and I think you should press charges. A big concern of mine is this: Glutathione is not a valid treatment. It does not work (Fact). So what did Dr. Perlmutter inject your father with on that first visit? My guess is that it was L-dopa because after 30 minutes, the results you described are visible. I urge you to press charges. He will offer to settle but DON'T. He is a scam artist and someone needs to stop him from causing more trouble for people so desperate to get better. People like your father, with Parkinson's disease should be spending their money on reliable treatments from certified research agencies, not from a quack doctor
I am very troubled by the many things I have been reading on your site, but also very grateful that your site attempts to provide some form of clarity on the subject of whether Glutathione Therapy should be considered as a treatment for people who have Parkinson's disease. My husband is in his early stages of Parkinson's and we obviously want to try everything we possibly can to delay the ugly effects of Parkinson's. However we also believe that just trying everything and anything just for the sake of trying would possibly be misplaced energy. In addition, why would the cost for a first visit be so much ? $ 1,100 for one single visit seems ridiculous, especially with all that I have read about Glutathione Therapy For Parkinson's and this Dr. Perlmutter. I called Dr. Perlmutters office and presented them with some questions that they had no real answers for. They did say that their treatment does not work for everyone, but that most people see a considerable difference. I then asked if I could speak with some of their satisfied patients and they said they could not give me their phone numbers. I then went on to ask them why no patients are coming forward in support of their treatment and once again they had no answers for me. We chose not to try Dr. Perlmutter's Glutathione Therapy Treatment and are content with our decision.

I was diagnosed with PD a little over one year ago. Meds have not worked, been on several different ones. So I see this Dr Perlmutter on the Dr Oz show and get all hyped up. OK if glutathione is not the magic treatment what about HBOT?

Jim, I have read about HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) and there is positive and negative feedback regarding this treatment. Unfortunately I do not know enough about it to speak on the matter. I did however find a case study on this you can review at the following link: Richard Franklin
